  1. Yes pushed a bit harder. Adding gamma on Pipp also likely adds those kind of artefacts more. I do know how to remove them. Adding blacks can help. But i don't always like adding too. Much. I know another way to totally remove any of that, Those kind of effects don't bother me as much as they used too. Defiantly not your monitor. At some point when i can be bothered i might remove them. But I don feel the need as much as i use to. If you look closely they was also on the other processes i did. On the other post. Again they don't really bother me like they did in the past. Cheers
  2. Cheers, yes its the 12" 1200 is a lot of frames. But dont forget from 20.000 its still the top 6%. As long as both films are of equal quality. These were taken one after another
  3. Tried doing a area of interest on Pipp. 2 films joined 20.000 frames down to 1200. 150% drizzle downsized to 80%
  4. Cool capture. Despite the sensitivity issues. You've captured some great detail. Excellent processing. I've heard of seeing faces in the clouds. But never Bill on Venus
  5. Excellent work. Couldn't see it at first. Then bang 39. The 9 on the false color looked more defined to my eye for some reason. Do it 2 more times i will throw the numbers into a lotto bet starting with 3 and 9
  6. I've always been known. To help where i can. So if you ever get stuck just give us a shout. Enjoy the new journey. There's whole world of fun at the end of it
  7. Appreciated Wes its a very fine line between detail and noise. That's normally my goal. Pushing it to a point just before the noise starts becoming easily seen. Any more and it can seem impressive at first glance with the sharpness. But on closer inspection the images become covered in grain. Its false information. Its not real. So from that stand point it really shouldn't be there, no matter how impressive the overall sharpness is as a whole. A balance can be struck. And i like to think i am getting close to that, I will leave it to others to decide if they think i am or not. But i am happy my end
  8. Just had slightly better seeing recently, that helps. I like using the 12" but its a fight, and slightly unnerving a lot of the time. Have to be so careful at 20 kgs and over 5ft. Unbalanced it can swing wildly Thanks again for the positive comments
  9. Lovely single panel. Good to see the resolution of the C11. You just need good seeing to really make it punch through. As you say seeing was variable
  10. Lovely work. Both crackers. But the UV Showing intricate structure and detail. Way to go. Your processing also looks top draw.
  11. The larger chips make it so much easier. My 178 is a pain at F13
  12. Thanks its a EQ6 R Pro. wouldn't much less than that. Its just in the ball park
  13. Some good UV images coming fast and furious. Nice capture Pete
  14. Nice Smooth detailed image that. Good processing
  15. It did need it Roy. But it wasn't something i was familiar with. The primary seemed ok. But i noticed the focuser was slightly canted. I attempted to rotate the focuser, as I've noticed these things in the past often are not perfectly circular. As luck would have it, as i rotated i saw the lean disappear. When i did a star test i could see there also their was a slight lean, i think i put my hand in front of the tube to see which side was leaning. Then tried to locate the hex collimation bolt nearest. Again as luck would have it. As i started adjusting i could see the star becoming more uniform, Until i got to a point where it looked even with a 10mm eyepiece. The out of focus star on my avatar on the left here is my collimated Cassegrain. As you can see it looks pretty concentric. There are procedures online though. A much more thorough explanation here. Hope it helps Collimating GSO Classical Cassegrain - Cats & Casses - Cloudy Nights
  16. Should be good. I got the baby 8. (7.3) though your open tube should cool better. My optics are razor sharp. will be interesting to see what it can do at 10"
  17. Cheers for the positive comments guys.
  18. I like the Baarder 495. But thats not very methodical i know. I only got it. because Neil English said it was good. Usual yellow cast though
