      The skies were clear but the wind on my 200p/EQ5 bounced Jupiter around so much I could hardly view it never mind image it :(

    sat 24 is showing a nice big clear patch coming from the west in the next few hours, where it ill turn to cloud as soon as it hits land....

    I'm considering using my scope for upside down birdwatching cos these clouds r goin nowhere....

      all you need is a 45 degree diagonal to make it rightway round i think :)

      Nice one mate, yep, just got back with it now & in the process of setting it up now (pics will follow shortly) 200p/EQ5 with RA & DEC motor, bahtinov mask & upgraded alt bolts £400, mint condition. :)

      was great while it lasted.if i had another 5 minutes i would have bagged another messier but ive got plenty of years left and i doubt any of them will fade in my lifetime

      I've got a skyliner 2oop do u know if I can see nebulae dust cloud or do I need filters or a dslr camera sorry 4 being a pain I'm new 2 astronomy

    I know the feeling Nat, I've decided to go for the Skywatcher 200p/EQ5 at the end of the month & have been scouring Astro buy,sell etc (even put a want add in here) but if nothing turns up i'll be buying new. The sensible side of me says 'wait a month or so until the people who bought scopes thanks to Mr Cox, have decided its not for them & the 2nd hand market gets swamped', BUT my patience wont last that long i'm afraid. Good luck with what you get & 'hopefully' we'll get some clear skies..Hmmm....... Steve

    Good shot, using my webcam I can never get jupiter with detail and the moons at the same time, it's either Jupiter as a white disc with the moons or Jupiter with detail without the moons.
