A Canon EOS 1000D is what I use for all my Solar Imaging if it's of any help ... I don't own an i-Phone ( or any other type of smartphone) for comparison though ...

You would be better off posting the images in a format that allows us to see them , I'm sure I am not alone in refusing to download unknown files in order to view them. Sorry.

Probably an incorrectly entered 'Time' or 'Time zone' or 'Daylight Saving' information . Were you by any chance about 15 degrees off target ? -

My Berlebach Planet came from the Astronomy and Nature Centre when it closed down , cost me a single £50 note and didn't have a box ... -

After forty years working with my hands , mainly in construction , I would never dare try that finger method , my fingers are far too hard and calloused to put anywhere near a front surface mirror. The chap in the video looks like he's never done anything but tap on a keyboard and wash-up so is probably fine with it ... 🤣 -
Nice detail , but the Moon set against a beautiful blue sky is one of life's little joys in my world ...

Managed to catch just seven frames through the clouds , and just this one frame showed any detail ... better luck next time eh ...

Astronomy kit is the one thing that I never buy online and have delivered . I always insist on picking kit up in person and checking the contents before departing for home. This way I get to let all the included clouds out of the boxes at the vendors location rather than my own ...
