And yes I know there's a minor stacking anomaly at the bottom centre of the disc , I stacked frames from 8 different sets shot over a two hour period which can play merry hell with the edge of the disc due to rotation ... 😉

Rough seeing first thing here , which proceded to get worse as I was capturing. Still managed to glean enough to play with to get a decent image though .

New scenario for me today ... sometimes you just need a little luck on your side ... 🤣 Shot two sets and dumped them both as garbage . Then as the next blue patch lined up over the Sun it started raining and hailing from behind me ... ! I carried on shooting regardless with the 'scope and bits draped under a tarpaulin ( leaving just the business end poking out) and found I'd caught 42 great frames from the set of 150 shot.

Can you use Imaging source DMK 41 mono camera in APT.
Steve Ward replied to Look left's topic in Imaging - Solar
As far as I know APT is for still camera control , SharpCap is what you want for 'video' cameras (or possibly FireCapture) -

"Inspired" by this day eight years ago I felt compelled to have a go this morning despite the blanket of cloud ... 🤣 My selection of "stackable" frames ..... And the result ... lol

Not a cloud to be seen and pretty decent seeing , great start to the Bank Holiday weekend ... Kit as always , Baader ND3.8 film on the Tal 100RS then an OIII filter on the front of the 1.8x Barlow (customised down from 2x to better fill the sensor) attached to a Canon EOS1000D. 500 frames shot , 132 stacked.

Been imaging all week but no internet until lunchtime today so to save messing about here's a week's worth in one hit ... all as jpegs to save clogging things up too much ... full res all on my Astrobin gallery here ... https://www.astrobin.com/users/steveward53/ ... Was nice to catch the whole week's worth of action , but the 27th and 28th were dreadful for both seeing and clouds hence the dreadful images ..... !

One extreme to the other ... shot 360 frames before the clouds rolled over , stacked 170 ... ! Full discs then some trimmed and drizzled just because ... would have pointed the big Mak180 at it if the clouds hadn't arrived so soon ...

Foul conditions , milky sky , wibbly-wobbly disc ... at times I could lose the big spots completely on screen !! Shot 1000 frames , selected 48 of the "better" ones ... 😄

Hi Stu , They're just visible now but weren't at 08:00 , can't be bothered to set up again today so hoping it's clearish tomorrow.
-
Not a lot to look at today , but it's a bank holiday weekend so what else is there to do ... ? No sign of the approaching 'big 'uns' yet so here's hoping for a bi of blue tomorrow.
