Well done getting something, Dave. Weekend looks iffy here, after a rather iffy bank holiday weekend! Roll on Summer 2016 :D Must say I am looking forward to a bit of deep sky and lunar.

Yeah I think that was kind of 2015 David, iffy weather :D I held off any lunar imaging for a while, looking forward to getting back to that. I am thinking maybe do solar mostly in summer,. lunar imaging in spring and autumn and observing planets if they are about, and DSO observing in winter.

  8. Horrible hazy skies tonight :-(

  9. How can I go to bed when the sky looks like that!

  10. I wish the forecast would make it's mind up!

  11. If you have blood the colour of the eclipsed Moon then you probably should see a doctor.

It's not looking good for solar! Supposed to be clear our way tonight, I am cold but that moon would be tempting for imaging, plus a crack at eyeballing Comet Lovejoy!

  13. Jupiter looks fantastic tonight as the seeing is better than average for a change.

  14. Just ordered Every Photon Counts, imaging here I come.

Thin I need to move a bit further north, I'd be happy for 2 consecutive days at the moment.

A good run! I managed 17 straight days on hols last year, typical that it's sunny when I am on hols and can't use my 120mm scope! Back home now and rubbish forecast for the weekend again :D
