      we had no petrol to make it to our observing site (thanks to the other night's waste of a trip), glad some ppl managed to make the most of tonight :)

      i keep meaning to get mine out and look at the sun but never get round too it.suppose i actually should get a solar filter for my finderscope first

      My Lyra seems to be steady on it although The clouds stopped any viewing but I am impressed so far.

      Hope the rain passes Jules. My 9mm ortho is fab..:) Jupiter looks great it's been too long. Need a while for the moon to come from behind tree and an alt/az mount would be handy.

      Hope you had a good night, Col. Here it has dropped from 30º to 9º in just a day and the evening is freezing with chronic seeing. Even at just 100x I couldn't stop Saturn from blurring.

      A decent hour before bed with new ep's, very happy with them. I shouldn't mind a few days of 30' though..:)
