I think I got 3 metre lengths.

I had rain blowing into my observatory when I built it. Mind you - that was horizontal rain! Lots of brush type draught excluder cured it.

Fix the thermistor electrical fault and see how it goes from there. No good putting it off but I've been the same at times.

E3D already have that name for their 4 nozzle hotend. They have the name Titan too but that was after I named my printer.

There's also a great big cattle barn out back but that's half full of old vehicles and almost half full of rubbish. The trouble with that - apart from the rubbish - is it gets very damp. Though not as damp as my front porch which is missing a roof panel and the top parts of some of the wall panels. Maybe I should get round to some repairs next summer...

Could be James. Maybe I'll save that for my next bigger printer. Once I've had a good clear-out I might have room for something bigger. There is one possibility if I come to a certain decision. There's this rather strange green wooden shed I built in my garden some years ago that seems to get little use these days! Unfortunately, there's this ruddy great concrete pillar right in the way of where I might put the print bed! And it's attached to about a tonne of concrete block below ground level. Forethought??? Wassat???

I considered a screw driven extruder taking pellets - even bought the pellets but decided that filament was easier even for nozzles bigger than 3mm.

Well, maybe - I don't really know. The Titan was a big printer when I built it. Maybe I need a better name for the Giant - Gargantuan or Gigantic comes to mind but they're rather long. As things are now the Titan has become the "GinaRep Standard", or "GinaRep Medium". And what happens if I build an even bigger box type printer??? Yes, I know about hang-printers and had considered it. Haven't the space at the moment.

I'm currently printing new parts for my Giant printer on my Titan printer.

I've stocked up on 3D printer filament but I doubt if that counts unless I use it to make astro gear like I have in the past.

I had an UP Plus 2 - very expensive - printed well but I wore it out quite quickly. Spare parts were also over-priced as it was a proprietary printer and everything non-standard. Actually, I still have it but it doesn't work any more. Even the software and firmware was proprietary and it would only print ABS. It was supposed to print PLA as well but it didn't. That was several years ago - it served it's purpose and enabled me to produce bigger and better printers.

I use gcode within Slic3r to do similar things eg. turn both heaters on then wait until hot before running rest of print then turn heaters off at end of print and wait for hotend to cool before turning printer (and cooling fan) off.

The thermistor is usually in the centre of the bed heater and only tells you the temperature there. The temperature could be anything elsewhere over the bed. Leaving the bed at working temperature for a few minutes before printing may allow it to heat the bed better.

Made a working cable chain with peg & hole, clip together links with PETG filament - flexible enough to work. PLA wasn't.

Weird!! Wonder why it was wider at the top. Wider at the bottom would have been more stable.

I'm using screws. Tried clip together but didn't work - probably wrong type of filament...
