this was taken with my old skywatcher skymax 127 with an eos 10d sorry but i foget the amount of subs and no darks flats ar any of that stuff just didnt know i had just joined here to find out what the heck i was doing and no body warned me about what i was getting myself into . early 2012 its m42 just incase you cant make out what it is.

new roof on my shedservatory home made dome-ish surprisingly easy to make and to move no more lift of roof and not much wind problems just need a solution for the clouds. -

M42 december 2013-feb 2014 with an Eos 1100d total 4 hours different lenth eposures -

can some one please explain to me why the tiff is wors than the jpeg after stacking in dss i set the eos 1100d to save both raw and jpeg. the raw files are 4x6 minit and 1x8 minit exposures and there are the same in darks with 6 flats and 6 dark flats . its just that every time i stack with raw files they are poo but the jpeg with no flats or darks seem much better. -

now just get a sata 3 solid state drive and you wont suffer any more bottle necks (550 mb sec read and write) woooossshhhhhh. ;-) -
