  1. Hello and welcome to SGL, Just post your images right here and ask awayโ€ฆ..
  2. Sounds about right ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
  3. Mewlon 180 - light, excellent contrast, never dews up, 1/20th wave optics.
  4. The โ€œBartholomewโ€ must be awesome if it can correct the โ€˜chromatic aberrationโ€™ in a TOA ๐Ÿ™‚ Or is it marketing hype ?
  5. Iโ€™m pretty sure he will get a grasp of the situation very soon ๐Ÿ˜
  6. @Sunshine was this you ? https://www.businessinsider.com/fastest-object-robert-brownlee-2016-2?r=US&IR=T
  7. Well, the weather forecast is not good for the next week. But as Arny said โ€œIโ€™ll be backโ€ ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ™‚
  8. Tak use quality felt that does not shed ๐Ÿ‘
  9. I donโ€™t want to be seen favouring any of them so have gone to a neutral avatar - no fights under the Christmas tree that way ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜
  10. Thatโ€™s a wonderful drawing Mike - I have been looking forward to seeing what you could do with the FS128 ๐Ÿ‘
  11. I was always super careful with mine because I knew it would hurt - they are also called drain covers ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
  12. Oh nooooo - is the Tak cap OK ? ๐Ÿคฃ
  13. First drawing with the TSA120, this is the raw drawing done at the eyepiece. Io is just about to disappear behind Jupiter. Europa has just finished transiting, itโ€™s shadow is on the far right of Jupiter.
  14. Didnโ€™t feel comfortable with just a single carry handle, soโ€ฆ.. ๐Ÿ˜
  15. Yes, they look great, this photo helped in my purchase decision ๐Ÿ‘ They belong to a Takhead, cannot remember his name though ๐Ÿ™‚
  16. Yes, the TSA120 Weighs the same as the Mewlon 180. The Mewlon 180 works well on a Vixen GP, the TSA definitely does not - even using a Berlebach UNI tripod. So the TSA is now on a Vixen GPDX/Berlebach combo which worked well on first light earlier this week ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. Correct, an 8โ€ Dob is not ideal for everything but is almost ideal for most things ๐Ÿ‘
  18. Well, 3300 miles away I had EXACTLY the same frustrating view of Jupiter in identical conditions to you through my new scope. The forecast here for the next week is 100% cloud cover ๐Ÿ˜• At least we both got โ€œfirst lightโ€ ๐Ÿ™‚ Having owned an FS128 I know how good the views are ๐Ÿ˜ did you see any tone difference compared to the TSA102 ?
