Some recent doubles with a new sketch approach

Recommended Posts

New for me I mean.  I normally sketch on white paper with a black set of pens and then invert colours in paint. A really simple approach that represents well what I see in the eyepiece. I don't normally add colour as I find it hard to translate what I see into accurate depictions on the screen from such a basic software.

Here's an attempt though to do just that and although the colours are almost certainly more gaudy than the real thing, they do fairly well reflect what I was seeing and my notes.

The object and magnification is in each sketch which has had blobs of the appropriate size and colour added. All were seen with my 80mm f11 Vixen refractor.
