SN2014bc in M106 CVn is pretty faint at the moment [m14.8 =Bright Supernova] and very close [few arc-seconds] from the gx core - my pic below from last night through cloud breaks with zoomed/enhanced inset right and my prediscovery image left.  Data on image. Let us know if you have any luck - perhaps it will brighten

Visually it probably needs a large scope and high mag EP - here's my 2nd night's shots of the supernova inset in 5s - longer and the core will swamp it  .  The SN is quoted "3" S of core" [bright SN] but I think it's more than that  :police:

My image from 17th May (pre discovery). Using 'averted imagination' when studying the core area I thought I could see some elongation in the area of the SN but wouldn't stake my life on it!

I need to re-image this with my 12" scope to get something definite.

Very annoying..

Supernova was clearly available at april 22 when i imaged M106. I was processing my image with color data from other image and avercooked central core of galaxy in image.

I processed luminance data again when i saw this topic and Supernova clearly was there..
