M27 from a very warm obsy

Lovely clear sky last night - the Milky Way was stretching out from one end of the sky to the other.

A rare night indeed (in shorts) but the temperature meant I couldn't get the 314L camera chip down very low, so this will be a discrete project and not an ongoing one.

I can't see me adding to the image at the same sensor temperature anytime soon, cos as the nights get cooler I can drop the sensor down to get more detail and keep the noise down.

16 sets of LRGB (120 secs each). Initial processing in PI then tweeking in PS. Calibrated with bias frames only (no flats).

It was warm last night. I was out testing the mods to my power box & I mistakenly put a sweatshirt on - mainly to prevent the mosquitos from biting - and boy did I suffer!

Lovely image Tom, I set up my camera and set it off doing its thing on remote then laid back spotting meteors - a very good night last night

Very nice. I had the same issue with the camera. I took mine down to 0.5C, but although I could have pushed it just a little further I didn't dare.
