hi all i took some pics with my omc-140 deluxe, afocal with a fugi point an shoot digi camera, see attached image, single jpeg it looks like the collimation could be out, as same camera set up did not produce same blurred area in my tal, so do you mak owners think thel collimation is out and if so any tips on lining things up again

I think it is more likely that the camera, for some reason, was not quite squared on, I would expect a collimation issue to have blurred the whole image.

right, thats my other explanation, i use a home made camera adaptor that slips over the eyepiece, then camera sits in other end, i have nearly finished making the mk3 version hope it cures the problem

The only way to check your collimation is by aiming the telescope at a star and defocusing. If the defocused image is a set of eccentric cirdces then the telescope is out of collimation. I think it is more that the image train is not square to the telescope.

its looking that way, phew! new adaptor is nearly ready and has more focus range as well
