nightfisher Posted March 29, 2011 Share Posted March 29, 2011 hi all i took some pics with my omc-140 deluxe, afocal with a fugi point an shoot digi camera, see attached image, single jpeg it looks like the collimation could be out, as same camera set up did not produce same blurred area in my tal, so do you mak owners think thel collimation is out and if so any tips on lining things up again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cornelius Varley Posted March 29, 2011 Share Posted March 29, 2011 The only way to check your collimation is by aiming the telescope at a star and defocusing. If the defocused image is a set of eccentric cirdces then the telescope is out of collimation.
