Slew by hand on GOTO mount - am I missing something obvious?

Daft question time. I have a Sky Watcher Goto mount.

On the occasions I don't want to be bothered aligning and or have no power but want to have a poke around, is there a way to move it manually? The mount won't move left to right on the tripod.

Do I have to control by the controller all the time ?

I know the answer is Get A Dob but shush ;-)

Just loosen the clutches and it'll go wherever you point it.

I thought it may be something like that but I can't find anything to loosen. It's a sealed unit?

Which mount is it? If its th AZ goto then there are no clutches and you can't move it

DO NOT try and slew it by hand you WILL break it.

There are no clutches to loosen, it is power slew or no slew.

Hi, what your asking for seems reasonable to me, I have been eyeing up a Skywatcher auto and was wondering the same.....

It might actually put me off the idea of getting one, unless I get a manual and install another auto system which does allow manual intervention

You can move the mount in the Alt axis manually but the AZ can only be moved with the hand control.
