LBN 865 from Kielder

Being at a Star party and imaging brings with it curiosity. " What you doin' then ? ". What it was this night, just to be different, was LBN 865 with CR 69. You'll find it above Betelgeuse and Bellatrix.

It's big. A great deal bigger than I remembered ! I totally miscalculated the field of view and should have used my 105mm camera lens.

I think Olly imaged it with a 90mm lens as part of his Orion wide field. ( Now I remember. Oh boy )

A few people asked to see it with a view to imaging the lump themselves.

Moravian 8300. Nikon 180mm @f4. 13 X 10 minutes Ha. No darks or flats but with bias. Some mist about.

Blimey that's some signal you've got there, very impressive. I think it would take a bit more contrast enhancement

Hello Dave, was nice to say hello again at the star camp, great set up you had there ad nice to see the resuts. I prefer your original post, sharp stars and lots of whispy neb. Brilliant.
