M27 - The Dumbbell Nebula

Here is a sketch of M27 I did through my 10" a little while ago. Unfortunately I didn't think to get the orientation at the time, so the next time I take a look at it I'll try and get that down.

That's fabulous Brandon. Really like that, and I appreciate the work that has gone into it. Magnificent. It's great that you chose to go for a relatively high magnification. I've not sketched M27 as yet, but I can see its relatively high surface brightness makes it a good target for medium-high magnification.

Did you use any filters? I can't make any out from your notes.

You're picking out a lot of detail in your sketches, you must have some great skies where you're based
