ETX Scopes

Can you mount an ETX scope on EQ3 / EQ5 / HEQ5 legs?.

The base of an ETX looks really wide... does the bolt on the mount push though and still catch to allow proper connection then?.

Ah you mean the whole thing not the OTA i see, it's a differant fitting the ETX scopes have two screw holes under there base and two screw holes are on the meade tripods or as i have a Pilon(Ultra Stable Etx mount doing nothing must sell lol)..

The Etx70 will be coming down in price soon as Meade has just realeased the ETX80 refractor so i reakon the ETX70's will be cheap as chips when that happens esp secondhand.

orion's equip will be becoming cheaper soon allso, (inside info) =), there HQ is REALLY amazing i must say. to learn stuff there, just makes you look at the other telescope makers like fool's, for some weird reason.
