JAO
Hi you have a nice setup. Can I ask about the tent? Is that the one that Astronomica sell? If not where was it from? Also how quick is it to put up? Sorry questions, questions!
CGolder
Hello,Its the older model but its the same as they one they sell, I purchased it second hand recently and i am very impressed. I put it up alone in about 10 mins with no instructions so its very very easy.I only put it up on sat morning and used it last night and it vastly improved my viewing experience, it not only allows for a semi perm set up but also blocks stray light and provides some privacy. i spent hours sitting in there with a blanket with daughter just looking up at the sky... was a great night. astroimpulse
That Astronomica tent is excellent and very fairly priced (if it's the £50 one).Another retail sell a tent that you can buy for £100 for over £500 because they call it astro! Kudos to Astronomicafor the fair price. Could be a purchase

CGolder
hehe, the other one for £49 is just the full cover, ill probably buy it at some point, especially as the tent will probably be used until the obsy is completed at the new house
Telescope40
Hi Colin. Good photos my friend. I have a question tho. The Meade LX90. ( I have the same scope )What are the two "boxes" added to the back of the OTA ?? BTW - the BST eps I bought from you recently are working out really well. Thx John
CGolder
They were added by the previous owner to assist with cooldown times, you plug them into a 12v supply and the current causes the inner side to become cold and the outer side hot.there are internal fans blowing the cool air onto the primary and the rear heatsinks and fans remove the heat from the rear side.
