  1. Hi Adam, did you buy the filter? i have the 1600mm pro and at the moment have 7nm ZWO Ha filter and i am getting some halo reflections that i am not very happy with. i am considering astrodons but would obviously be interested in a cheaper alternative that works with my camera Colin
  2. Just about to book up myself ;-) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  3. I have had my 100pd modified by Juan, the service was great the whole way through. I had the camera back within a few days of him receiving it and it looks very well done. Juan sent me images from the camera after the mod before returning it to show its condition. Great service and I look forward to using it under the stars! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I am glad you are enjoying the scope mate. Was a pleasure meeting you. :-) Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me, i recently posted a CG5 tripod to someone on ab&s and i removed the bolts from the legs and packed them separately, the darling delivery company somehow damaged the box and removed the bolts. can anyone advice of where i might get replacements? or the size of the bolts? thanks very much :-( Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk 2
  6. Do you have a washing line going over or through your obsy? :-) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I take it you have a 512mb graphics card then nick? :-) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I tried it tonight in the st80 at high power. It does seem to but down the stay blue around objects but can still see plenty of false colour hhmmm Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Defo not a light pollution one as I have had a few of these and they are all very similar. Time will tell ;-) I was very close to winning the ethos this year lol Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Haha I have fitted it to the st80 just need a planet or moon to use it on now Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Blooming post... I did a description and posted it but my tapatalk decided to freak when I changed a bit. It have silver one side but not as much as say a 0iii filter when you look through in the day time it looks blue and when you turn it it looks purple ish and then yellow at the extreme side on Any ideas? I think people are suggesting maybe fringe killer?? I have never had one to can not confirm Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  12. I won a filter in the raffle at kelling and I am not sure what it is
  13. I found they are a little lacking in even as slow as f10 but they are OK eyepieces, big upgrade over the standard. I sold mine as they showed way to much coma for my liking and you can grab a second hand nagler instead of 2 hyperions Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  14. If u don't have more than 4 GB of ram go 32 bit, or dual boot so u can do either ;-) Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  15. They are very good but are also very large and add some length to the tube. Optically superb but I personally couldn't live with the size of it, with an erhos on the end it stuck out about a foot Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  16. haha i wouldn't worry i have been tagging along for years now :-)
  17. I'll take a look for you when I get home later mate Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  18. I had the same thing and went with the 127. Who wants diffraction spikes on a good planetary scope anyway :-) Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
  19. I cant see why a 127 wouldnt be any good for dso's with a low mag eyepiece. People observe dsos with much smaller scopes. The vixen will have a faster cooldown for grab and go due to the design. They also both have the advantage of being better for planets than a cheap short tube frac Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  20. its the one for the CG5, but you should be able to find one second hand or new instead of getting the heq5 one
  21. Should be fine, but i would defo consider the improved dovetails and you might also consider a extension for the tripod and try to get the 2" version as the reflector will hit the legs when mounted on the side.
  22. I am a mak man too :-) if you dont need to worry about cooldown they are superb. i have had 2x 127 1x 125 a 102 and a 90mm :-) oh and the 190, i did find the 90mm and 102 just a bit lacking in gathering ability to justify over the 127 whih is no harder to mount in reality :-)
  23. I have seen a number of cases on sale at maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/search?criteria=flight+case I have a few of the http://www.maplin.co.uk/high-impact-case-large-228650 high impact cases and they fit a mak127 nicely. I have just order 2 of the http://www.maplin.co.uk/large-storage-case-593873 which are a bargain and are a tad deeper than your normal flight case so might be good to a 6" sct or mak. Either way at 19.99 delivered is worth it to keep your expensive gear safe
  24. I have a skytee and its great for white light and the pst at the same time, before i had the skytee i had a AZ3, its a superb PST mount, light and easy to setup plus it has slow mo's and is cheap as chips
