Thanks for the warm welcome everybody x I've pretty much decided on the SKYMAX 127 with the SupaTrak mount. I decided that given the fact I can see a lot with the naked eye ... i've decided that finding object shouldn't be too tricky! (famous last words!) Heck part of the fun is surely in the chase! and in learning. As for the goto element I believe the scope can store a number (6?) items which it can return to? .. that's gonna be enough for showing it off a bit! Plus at some point I fancy getting something like the Ursa Minor planetarium program and connector which looks like it'd be a bit more fun than the goto handset. For taking the scope with me places a wee travel case and small mount will fit in the fiat no probs. Now, where to order from? FLO best bet?

Hi Tipper, welcome to SGL.

Most GoTo hand sets have a guided tour facility, and start with the brighter objects and move down to the fainter and more difficult to see objects. This should prove easier for after dinner gazing!
