M42 Ha and colour

A mix of Ha through an ed120 and colour through an ed80. All taken with a canon 1000D unguided. A few dodgy haloes up close but Ok at a distance !!. Trevor

Thats come out pretty well perhaps needs more reds but dust mountains below Running Man showing through.

Okay, more reds maybe, but that really is nice with excellent control of the dynamic range and a haunting, natural look and feel. I daresay that with a well feathered lasso you could bring down thise haloes somewhat, checking the colour balance with each iteration.

Very nice. The first photo looked a bit strange, seeing M42 with so little red. The second one is better.
