Thanks everyone.

Looks to me you have the makings of a good imager there DJ , thats spot on mate , good tracking and nice stars, But you do need to start stacking to show more data out of your images

Thanks , yes i will have to learn how to use these stacking programs properly.

I don't know whether its my monitor, but I'm sure theres nebulosity there to?

Can see it on mine too Caz - Nice stuff DJV 8)

Yes there is some there but it was the most i could get out of it

That is a beautifully executed shot and tracking well. Stars are immaculate, well done on that one!! I'm sure there is more in there. Have you tried using iterative standard curves and levels? With that length of exposure there will be a fair bit of nebulosity showing, it will be noisy cos of the single sub but I bet it could be pulled out.

Yes my attempts to extract more nebulosity resulted in a lot of noise so I gave up and left it the way it is, but i'm still quite pleased with it.

Just had a play and there is indeed some nebulosity 8)
