As well as increasing the field of view (reducing the magnification), it increases the amount of light getting to each sensor pixel.

The 30 second subs would have to have been 120 second subs to get the same illumination per pixel without the FR and 120 seconds unguided is not yet doable as I haven't PEC trained the EQ6 nor have I got my head round autoguiding yet.

This makes snapping faint objects easier. Also I had it in there and already focused so I did a retarget and set it snapping again.
