Power supply for EQ5 RA drive.

Does anyone use a 240vac to 6v dc transformer to drive their EQ5 mount ? It's costing me a fortune in batteries!

Hi John' for my motors i use a 6 volt DC which i run from the shed to my mount.Batts don't last that long for the motors.Mark

Mark. What is the source of your 6 volt supply? Is it a transformer or battery ?

I too run an extension to a 240AC - 6V DC 4amp regulated unit, it works a treat, but you need to buy an external plug set for the end of the extension and the input wire for the power unit.

The pics below show the unit housed in a outdoor waterproof electrical box, but I now house the unit inside my pedestal.
