At around 8.37pm this evening my son and I have just witnessed the biggest shooting star I've ever seen. It was massive, I've seen hundreds in my life, most pinprick sized. This was huge, its trail glowed for a second or 2 after the main body burned out.

We were looking north and it travelled from east to west. I live in west west Cornwall, the time was almost exactly 8.37pm.

I'm still amazed at just how massive it was.
