Sun 25 Oct in H-alpha

A bit behind on processing. The amazing stretch of decent skies earlier in the week allowed a backlog of avi files to build up.

Monday the Sun had some impressive activity with four sunspot group on display and a few prominences as well. I've tried to capture all four groups although in h-alpha although, the spots do not stand out as distinctly as they do in white light images of the Sun.

AR1117 continues to grow and look ever more impressive. Colouration on the AR1117 image has been made more 'orangey' to enhance the activity. Comments welcome on whether this works okay.

Thank you for looking.

Sheri

Thanks for the kind remarks. So much more pleasant doing astronomy in bright sunlight!

Threads have been 'modded' with PTFE tape. No reply from Lunt after I sent photos of the thread issue. Not impressed. At least the scope is functional now. Hate missing a sunny day this time of year.
