Moon 3x Barlow Oct 24th Skymax 127

Seeing was very unstable so abandoned Jupiter and took some shots of the Moon with 3x Barlow.

Some fantastic close up images there Stuart, I also had some very bad seeing conditions that night so had a go at the moon also but didn’t get anything as good as yours in my 925

What sort of frame amounts were you getting? As my seeing was so bad that each set of around 1800 frames only about 200 were being selected to stack etc

Just noticed I've forgotten to change the 2nd image to b&w lol

Each image was from 60 sec avi @10 fps. Some I stacked 300-400 and others were in the 100s. Tracking was all over the place and they were drifting like crazy so I had to manually align a couple in Registax. Plus the Tal barlow had a dirty mark on the lens (had to return to vendor). So all in all quite pleased with the result lol

Great shots bet you were having a great time out there taking them I was out till 2am last night waiting but a great big tree and clouds killed off my chances.
