Better conditions early on Monday morning. Used a deep red filter to stabilize the seeing ....

2010 Oct 25, 0319 UT. William Optics FLT 110 fluorite triplet refractor, prime focus, deep red (Wratten 29) filter, Imaging Source DMK41 camera. 5 frame mosaic. 50% resize; full size version here.

Transparency good, seeing good with slight continuous boiling. Temperature 0C, wind calm.

why did u use frac and not sct, was it just for ease of use ?
Laziness. The SCT has 4x the focal length so it would take a lot more effort to shoot & process a full mosaic - and there wouldn't be any more detail shown on the 800 pixel "thumbnail" anyway. As it happens I had a huge pile of solar videos to process & I was tired too. One of these nights, I promise you ....
