Okay, I am finally getting the hang of this a bit, first thing is to keep it simple - where possible. Not using more images over layed and not processing if it need not be.

Now, for this series of shots, I'd like your preferences. 1,2 or 3 and perhaps a little about why. I ask becuse my last effort was over processed I'm informed.

Each successive picture has been processed by a one step in PaintShop Pro.

The Initial image was done with 8" Skywatcher with Toucam ProII & Baader Neodymium filter.

10 seconds @ 10 frames per second and stacked in Registax. Finally merged (iMerge)using 10 of the 30 frames took.

I like the first one best.

Second and third are over cooked :D

You've got some very good detail again in those and a pretty accurate exposure.

To be honest, I'm not convinced that you need to proccess much if not at all.

Trick is to look at the moon and get a feel for the contrast between the brights and darks.

Then try to adjust your images to match for a more natural look.

Your taking some class images, but ease back on the tweaking.

Very well done :D

Just been thinking a bit more about your picture.

I see that you've stacked in Registax then merged in Imerge and finaly

tweaked in Paintshop pro.

Can we back step on this a bit..

Can you use one of th AVI's and stack it in Registax then without doing any tweaking with the

filters in Registax or any other proggy, save it and post it here for us to look at..

I'm not trying to be clever or picky but it seems to me youv'e taken some great images

and with a bit of TLC you'll be a regular on SGLPOD without a doubt :D
