Comet 103P/Hartley & Double Cluster

Here's my effort at imaging Comet 103P/Hartley's fly-by of the Double Cluster.

Canon 40D, 300mm, 61 x 30 secs @ f/2.8, stacked in Deep Sky Stacker using the comet mode to remove its apparent motion. Central time of exposure, 2010 Oct 07, 2210 UT.

Must try flat frame subtraction....

Very nice image. I agree doing a flat frame will improve it but a quick process with gradient exterminator works well.
