Uranus 17.9.10 with Jupiter Comparison

had about 1hr to wait for GRS transit to appear on Jupiter so after viewing a few DSO'S,

and both Jupiter and Uranus for a while, i decided to have attempt at imaging Uranus and join the " i've imaged Uranus Club "

took 1x5m and 1x 2.5m avi's @10fps, SPC webcam prime focus No Barlow just UV/IR filter was used

result is from smaller capture1000/1500frames stacked

no wavelets or sharpning, slight colour tweak and very slight brightness contrast tweak, 200% size was given more colour

2nd comparison pic is collection of three recent captures, to give rough idea of size comparison between planets and Jupiter's Moons.

(dates were Uranus 17/9 Over exposed Moons 31/8 and Jupiter 26/8)

exposure and gain was very high to find planet,

once found it was very easy capture,

due to focal ratio + length being very low,

for me colour is light blue/grey when viewing,

though many seem to suggest green colour also,

Nice work capturing Uranus! It seems the poor thing has been overlooked due to the fantastic apparition of Jupiter this year.
