first attempt at DSO

Well due to clear skies last night and new Skywatcher 80mm APO thought i would give some imaging a go

These are single frames, with a quick 'fix' on the ipad with filterstorm last night , have taken some for a stack also but will play with those later

Equipment Canon 100d modded with astronomik CLS CCD clip filter

Lovely first attempts!

What happened to the image of M31? It seems sharp and in focus on the right 1/3rd but the rest is a bit blur. Is that from processing?

The last one was taken through a cheap 35mm ebay lens on the modded 1000d for a 30 sec exposure, yeah was surprised as well :-)

Flippin heck, for a first time DSO and 4 images in one night, and one frame of each. Also the ring is supposed to be difficult (not tried it myself yet), so to get all that on a first sitting is some going. Can't wait to see the stacked images and future progress.

How long was one frame?
