Solar Activity 11 Sep

Brief sunny interval between heavy showers, with poor seeing. Overviews:

1007 UT. Coronado PST CaK, prime focus, DMK41

1012 UT. Solarscope 60, 0.5x focal reducer, DMK41

A sunspot is visible in white light, embedded in a large patch of faculae, near the south east limb:

1020 UT. WO FLT 110, Lunt solar wedge, 4x Imagemate, DMK21

Clouds so far preventing close ups in CaK or Ha. Will add to this post if the weather clears, but looks unhopeful at the moment.

Transparency good but with drifting convective cloud. Seeing poor with considerable rapid boiling. Temperature 19C. Wind NW force 3-4.
