Just a caution on this - if the flash is on only one frame, it could be a cosmic ray hit on the imaging sensor - such things are not unknown. If it's on multiple frames then it's more than likely a real event of some kind.

Interesting - I'm observing Jupiter now and there is a nice white spot / oval right around that latitude on the N side of the NEB. Probably no link but it's a very nice feature !. There is some adjacent darkening of the NEB to the W of the white spot / oval as well.
