goto dobs?

can someone explain to my why there are no goto dobsonians available, i think one of the manufacturers were going to make a goto but this isnt happening now, or am i missing something really obvious??

Orion do, I think its their XTG range, though I dont know anyone who has one. Skywatcher have a tracking one which can be upgraded to goto by replacing the handset (some on this site have done so), but will I think be releasing an official synscan goto version later this year.

I'm waiting to see what happens in this space with interest because I think it will be my next big purchase - not sure when though.

Obsession telescopes supply their scopes with servocat if you want it. Servocat is available on it's own to fit to most scopes, though I think you do need to use argo navis with it also.

You can pretty much take it that whatever is said about the Orion will apply to the Skywatcher too. So it's a really good indication of what to expect of the Skywatcher.
