Hi robbie. You cant/wont go far wrong with a TAL 2x barlow:

I really was not a fan of barlows until i bought and tried the TAL 2X. Its a great performer. Images are bright and sharp.

Hi, yeah, i just bought a Televue 2x barlow off a member on here and it 'rocks'.

I too had never tried one, but from my (limited) experience, they are great.

I can recomend the Celestron ultra

I can recommend the TAL ones. I used to have the x3 until I lost it in a muddy field one night. Great piece of kit and I think about £30.

I reckon you've got three main contenders under £100 new:

Tal x2 £35

Orion Shorty plus £70

Celestron Ultima £90

The latter two are supposedly identical except for the branding. All are very well regarded in their price bracket.

Add the TV 2x barlow to that, it's only £79 new and a superb barlow.
