Yes - focus looks pretty good and exposure seems good too, you can see the banding on the disk if you examine closely: now all you need to do is put a barlow in the train to up the image scale, and then you'll really be cooking....!:D:icon_salut::)

Nicely done Earl...

For the barlow, it depends on how you are attaching the camera to the scope. If it's on T Thread, then obviously a normal barlow can't be used. If you have a T thread to ep nose piece, pop that in... You'll get something like 2.5x out of a 2x barlow as the lens to sensor distance is bigger than normal... The other option is a camera teleconverter, then fit it to the T thread.

even more meritous seeing it was taken with the dslr....!:D:icon_salut::)

I made a device by cutting a 2" generic extension tube off at the stepped in position and skimming out a recess to fit another compression band just inside this truncated end.....it now is a 2" tube with a brass compression band at both ends and can take a 2" to 1&1/4" reducer in backwards at the front end to hold a barlow.....

As someone has said, the distance from barlow rear to sensor determines the magnification ratio.....but I see you have a Neximage - why don't you try recording an avi with that camera and stacking etc the resultant frames.....if you can achieve this image with a dslr at primary you might just surprise yourself with the webcam and barlow - a much easier pair to combine....!:D
