Hi T, good choice for a first scope. As others have said the pocket sky atlas is well worth a tenner and I would recommend adding a red dot finder or similar to the 150P. I have a Rigel Quickfinder on mine. It saves loads of time getting you looking in the right area of sky, then you know you are looking at the right star in the finderscope.

I wish you many happy nights of viewing pleasure.

HI T :)

A warm welcome to SGL Forum from me. "Turn Left at Orion" is most definitely a good read and a good practice guide to observing and will certainly keep you occupied for a while. I'm glad that you decided on getting some kit together and trust its finally arrived safely. Having read so much on this forum in the last year I hope you will be able to resist aperture fever, thankfully I'm not a betting man! :D:D

Wishing you clear skies and a lot of fun with your viewing.

James :D
