Mars 18.4.10 and Comparison 127mm Mak

got 2 avi's of Mars last night

using 127 Mak @f/23.6 and SPC900 webcam and UV/IR filter

also

used my new Baader Neodymium Filter i bought for £40 this week

results were ok i think, esp considering Mars is now only 8 Arc secs in size

didn't get avi without new filter to compare,thx to clouds

but viewing with Neodymium Filter was def a big difference in colour and detail, polar cap was much more evident as were the dark markings on planet

(prob do quick equip report on this filter as seems promising)

also deciding to do comparison pic to show size difference of Mars since Jan 2010 which was roughly double the size Mars is now in April.
