Frontal cloud cleared late morning. The Sun remains quiet; blank disc in white light, again.

1030 UT. PST CaK, prime focus, DMK41.

The small plage in the north east doesn't appear to be active in either CaK or Ha:

There are prominences on the east, north east, north and west limbs, none of them especially notable, though the "spikey" appearance of the NE proms suggests activity just about to rotate into view.

Finally, the fat "birthmark" filament which has been around for several days is now approaching the limb. Will it "lift off" and give us another great show?

1113 UT. Solarscope 60, x2 barlow, DMK21.

Transparency generally good, some intermittent high (frontal remnants) & low cloud at times. Seeing moderate. Temperature 11C, wind N force 3-4.
