heres another recent Saturn attempt with my 5" Mak

got my largest avi yet around 2100frames @ 10fps

stacked 700 of 2100 in reg5, gimp2 for process

conditions ok not great 6/10

must have been rotation and resize that caused squashed effect lol

100% size looks ok and others ok when rotation corrected

I would second what Neil has said. James you are setting the standard for the 127 class. Hope you did not mind me enlarging one of the images they are like jewels!

the planet looks slightly squashed?

It's Saturn's rotation that does that ... the effect is also noticeable on Jupiter but the flattening ia about twice as great on Saturn. I think the "thin" ring presentation accentuates the flattening, the globe looks much rounder when the rings are more fully presented.
