New to the forum...

Hi, new to the forum. I'm trying to re-kindle a lifelong passion for astronomy. I currently own a pair of 20X80 'giant binoculars' and Olympus E-500. I am considering buying a Celestron Wideview 102mm Refractor with Barlow lens X2 to up the magnification.

It seems to fare well in tests. I am currently researching possibility of using the scope with the Olympus DSLR for astrophotography.

Hi Don, welcome to SGL. I don't know much about the Olympus cameras but I would think if you had the right adapter you should be able to get some shots.

I am an observer myself, however like people have suggested i am sure you could connect the camera you are talking about to your desired scope. It would be worth posting a thread in the Equipment Help - Stargazers Lounge section of the Forum
