Hello all.

Last week I finally pulled my son's telescope out of the closet. I had bought it at Goodwill, and had spent about 5 hours repairing it so he'd have a cool Christmas gift. He never really touched it, so I thought I would see what I could find with it.

I never realized you could see Saturn's rings with such a cheap telescope. I never even realized that you could see Mars or any of the other planets with the naked eye.

I am totally hooked now... but totally new still.

Hope I can link up with people here, find good and fun information, and someday share as well.

I guess this is the model:

I have a 25 mm eyepiece.

Can't see a whole lot, and I won't have enough money for something good for a while. But I think the inadequate equipment I'm using will force me to learn more as I'm trying to find stuff. Plus--I'll just keep my eye open for good deals at flea markets and Goodwill.
