First naked eye sunspot of the season?

Viewed the current sunspot activity in Ha this morning, very obvious black nucleus even in Ha so dug out my old eclipse specs and sure enough the main spot was just visible to the otherwise unaided eye.

Doggone it, i was out sketching the monster yesterday but forgot to take a look at it through my eclipse glasses (insert DunceCap smileyface here).

Today there's a thick-ish cirrus layer, and the only thing i can see is the glow of the solar disc. It looks kind of neat through the eclipse glasses, though.. like a foggy Moon against a blackened sky. :)
