Saturn and Mars!

Here's a recent observation I made of Mars and Saturn.

There were some particularly bright clouds on the proc.limb of Mars, and I suspected a bright cloud over Olympus Mons

Saturn was also quite interesting- the features and colours seem to be much more muted compared to the last apparition. Dione can be seen transiting the disk, along with its shadow.

Super stuff Paul.

Saw your comments on the other thread. Good to match up the details of what you saw with what I saw. The southeast limb brightening seemed the more intense brighter area to me, brighter than the rest of the eastern limb. Excellent to see the notch of material up towards the south pole from Mare Sirenium. I only got that with the last couple of glimpses of the planet before I stopped observing!
