This will most likely serve as but a teaser for far better shots by others...

Canon 500D

18-270mm zoom @ 270mm/f6.3

1/8th second @ ISO3200

I found getting the balance between the ultra-bright half-Moon and comparatively invisible Pleiades very tricky indeed, mainly due to the static photo-tripod used, hence no guiding, but more so the haze that presented itself when exposing for a second or more :

You really did do well the get both - especially as you managed to get it in ONE shot!?!

I didn't even realize that the moon was that close to M45 last night - not that it would have mode much difference (wall to wall cloud).
