What do I need in way of Canon DSLR

I read that you do not need a fully functional camera (DSLR) here are some of the items.

Do not need autofocus, mirror lock or the light meter. Is there any other functions that I do not need.

Are you looking at a secondhand camera with damage???

If not you get all the features "for free" and use the ones you need...

Good idea to try and get a faulty camera.

You don't need autofocus, light metering or flash. As long as manual mode is working, you don't need any of the rest (macro, sports etc)

I would say mirror lock is useful but not essential, likewise you could get away with a cracked or partly working display.

Damage to the casing like the strap brackets would be no hinderance.

Alternatively Canon do have an outlet shop on ebay where you can get reconditioned cameras.

Yeah checking them out, the funny thing is people are actually paying more than you can get of the internet/high street. Why do people not research, automatically think ebay is cheap:icon_eek:

I used to use a Canon 10d...you may be able to pick up one really cheap on eBay. It has the bulb function which you'll need
