S&N Mag & Telescope Planet Ad

Is it just me, or is anyone else annoyed at the location of the TP ad right in the middle of the S@N mag monthly star map? Normally you can tear it out, but this month they have managed to print ir before the centre pages making the map unusable

Yea I was thinking that was a stupid thing to do. I never use them as I just print out my night sky from one of the programmes I have.

But it must be a pain if you do use them.

Yes, not a good move by S@N. Hopefully they won't do the same thing next month.

The left side of the map is on page 32, but it would need to be cut out and joined to the rest of it with sellotape. What a silly thing to do.

Daft lot, I was going to loan the map to a young girl across the road as she has JUST become interested in our hobby. Probably down to the printers.

It's not a lot of map on the left hand page and as that corresponds to the East and light polluted London where I am, it's no great loss for me!

Astronomy Now have the advert in between the pages of the map but they have now stopped numbering the ad pages so you can just pull them out and not lose the sequence. Far more thoughtful and IMO a better magazine anyway!

I cancelled my subscription to Sky and Telescope about a year ago, it was getting thinner by the month and more and more adverts. I know they have to raise revenue but I hope the Britsh Mags do not get to that extreme.
