Another Jupiter - this time in colour

Here is my first colour Jupiter.

A nice start.

What are the details? eg was this from a stack of images or just a single shot? Did you use a Barlow? Exposure doesn't look too bad, but the levels could be tweaked at the lower end to blacken the sky.

I opened the .tif file in Registrax but it wouldn't take any wavelets without introducing a lot of noise. I guess this was a single frame or a very small stack. The focus looks pretty good.

Next time try and get as many frames as you can, about 900 at 10 fps should do. You're using the same scope, mount and camera as I am but are you using barlow? If not, give it a go. Don't forget use the "RGB align" in Registrax after stacking.

nice first effort, i remember my first attempt using a 2x barlow, took me a hour just to get the image onto the chip !
