Lithium grease is the stuff to use. The bolts to adjust the mesh of the new motor are just the mounting bolts, not to be confused with the adjustment of the worm drive.

Steve, Who would stock Lithium Grease e.g. Halfords.

Cheers.

You can get white lithium grease from almost anywhere that sells pushbikes.

A lot of our US cousins swear by a product called 'Super Lube' but I reckoned when I rebuilt my mount the same stuff which kept my old bike pretty fluid for 10 years was probably good enough ;)

I have used the spray on white lithium grease on my EQ5 and HEQ5 mounts gears. It seems to work for a while then just goes runny and disappears. A lot of other people say it tends to go runny too.

I just bought some Super Lube and replaced the runny lithium grease in my HEQ5. It has transformed the gears, they are now almost silent, even when starting and stopping slewing.

Highly recommended and you can get it from HERE
